CID Home Repairs & Services · Effective 15 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CID Home Repairs & Services ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by CID Technologies.
By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
You also agree to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You may use the App only if you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
CID Home Repairs & Services is a property maintenance management platform that connects three categories of users:
The App provides features including maintenance request submission, a contractor marketplace, job assignment and status tracking, live contractor GPS tracking during active jobs, in-app chat, room inspection checklists with digital sign-offs, a maintenance intelligence dashboard for property managers, reviews and ratings, and payment processing.
CID Home Repairs & Services is a technology platform only. We do not perform maintenance or repair services ourselves. We are not a party to any agreement between a customer and a contractor, and we do not employ, control, or supervise contractors. Contractors are independent service providers who are solely responsible for the work they perform.
To use most features of the App, you must create an account. You may register as a general user, a property manager (subject to admin approval), or a contractor (subject to verification).
You agree to:
Property managers must submit a manager access request with proof of authority before being granted management privileges. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or revoke manager access at our discretion.
Contractors must complete a verification process, including providing identity documents, certifications, and other required information, before being approved to accept jobs.

Violations may result in account suspension or termination, removal of content, and where applicable, reporting to the relevant authorities.
You may create and submit content through the App, including maintenance request descriptions, in-app chat messages, reviews, job notes, inspection notes, and uploaded photos. This content is referred to as "User-Generated Content."
You represent and warrant that your User-Generated Content:
You grant CID Home Repairs & Services a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, display, and process your User-Generated Content for the purpose of operating and improving the App. This licence persists for as long as the content is needed to provide the service or as required for record-keeping.
We may remove or restrict access to User-Generated Content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law. We are not obligated to monitor User-Generated Content but may do so at our discretion.
Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences. We may remove reviews that are abusive, false, retaliatory, or otherwise in violation of these Terms.
The App, including its design, software, features, and branding, is owned by CID Technologies and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding, logos, or content without our prior written permission.
User-Generated Content remains the property of the user who created it, subject to the licence granted above. Contractors retain ownership of their portfolio photos and profile content, subject to the licence granted to the App for display and operational purposes.
If you believe that content on the App infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@consideritdone.co.za with details of the alleged infringement.
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own terms and policies:
We are not responsible for the practices or policies of these third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Customer Payments. When a customer requests a service, payment may be pre-authorised and held until the job is completed. Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store your card details — they are collected directly by Paystack on its secure hosted page.
Contractor Payouts. Contractors receive payment for completed jobs through the platform, minus the platform commission. The commission rate is 8% of the job value (VAT inclusive). Payouts are processed to the contractor's verified bank account via Paystack subaccounts.
Contractor Subscriptions. Contractors may choose from the following subscription tiers:
Subscription fees are billed monthly via Paystack and are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Off-Platform Restriction. You may not take jobs or transactions originated through the App off the platform to avoid fees or commission. Circumventing platform payment may result in account suspension, termination, and recovery of owed fees.
Cancellations and Refunds. If a job is cancelled before the contractor arrives, the customer may be eligible for a refund. If a job is cancelled after work has started, a partial refund or no refund may apply, depending on the work already performed. We facilitate refunds where reasonable but do not guarantee outcomes.
Disputes. If a dispute arises regarding a payment or job, we may facilitate communication between the parties, but we are not a party to the dispute and do not guarantee a resolution.
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings or via our web deletion page. Account deletion will anonymise or remove your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or for any other reason at our discretion.
Upon termination, all licences granted to you under these Terms cease immediately. You remain responsible for any fees or obligations accrued prior to termination.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — will continue to apply after account closure.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant the quality, safety, or legality of any work performed by contractors, or the accuracy of contractor profiles, reviews, or ratings.
We do not guarantee that a contractor will accept a job, arrive on time, or complete work to your satisfaction. We do not guarantee that a maintenance request will be resolved.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the CPA.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act, CID Home Repairs & Services and CID Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Because CID Home Repairs & Services is a marketplace platform and not the provider of maintenance services, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of contractors, including any damage to property, personal injury, or incomplete or defective work. Contractors are solely responsible for their own work and must carry their own insurance.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from interactions between users, including disputes over work quality, payment, or conduct.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to the App shall not exceed the total amount of fees you have paid to us through the App in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or [MAXIMUM LIABILITY AMOUNT], whichever is less.
You agree to indemnify and hold CID Home Repairs & Services and CID Technologies harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your User-Generated Content, your breach of these Terms, or the services you perform or receive through the App.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App, or any part of it, at any time and without notice. We may add or remove features, change pricing, or limit access to certain functionality based on user role or subscription tier.
We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the App or by other means.
Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the App and delete your account.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The current version is always available at /terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall, in the first instance, be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within [NEGOTIATION PERIOD] days, it shall be referred to mediation in [MEDIATION CITY/JURISDICTION]. If mediation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [COURT JURISDICTION].
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CID Technologies regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
